The Annual Birthday Ball

The Annual George Washington's Birthday Ball, a traditional formal event that invites students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends to come together in celebration of George Washington's Birthday, will be held on Saturday, February 26. Doors will open for alumni and visitors at 9 p.m., and the event will run until 12:30 a.m.  There are a few surprises planned, so be sure to get there early!

WHERE DO I GET TICKETS?
Tickets may be purchased by calling the Bookstore at 410-778-7749, by e-mailing the Alumni Office at alumni_office@washcoll.edu, or by paying at the door. Tickets bought before February 16 may be purchased at the discounted rate of $30. From February 17 onward, tickets will be sold at the normal price of $40 each, including all tickets sold at the door.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Dress code for Birthday Ball is as follows: women in tasteful formal dresses, and men in suits and ties or tuxes and dress shoes.

Don't want to ruin your high heels on our historic brick paths? A free shuttle will be running throughout the event. Arrange your shuttle service by contacting Public Safety at 410-778-7810.

WHAT'S ON THE MENU?
Hors d'oeuvres, finger foods and desserts will be served throughout the entirety of the event. The traditional Midnight Breakfast will be held in the upper and lower levels of Hodson Hall Commons immediately following the event until 2 a.m.  This year, we will have a "Remember Birthday Ball" campaign to encourage responsible drinking before, during, and after the event for everyone's safety, and to make the evening more enjoyable for the entire Washington College community.
ALL IN ATTENDANCE -- STUDENTS, FACULTY, STAFF, ALUMNI and FRIENDS -- MUST BRING ID.
NO EXCEPTIONS.
